This workshop will focus on understanding ethics as related to therapists working with individuals and families in a multicultural context. All professional organizations have codes of ethics by which practitioners are guided and judged, but clearly it is up to the therapist to use judgment and reason to maximize the well being of the clients. This workshop will focus on how to think about ethical dilemmas with empathy for the decision maker, whose best option may be a compromise between different values.
