Culture shapes our sense of who we are in the world as well as the relationships we form and those that are offered to us. This day will acquaint clinicians with South Asian cultural imperatives that affect South Asian individuals and families in obvious and subtle ways and cultural issues that are present in the therapeutic encounter. We will talk about effective ways of working with families from this culture to help them with a range of issues with which they may present.
